An Accounts Manager in a travel and tourism company is responsible for managing financial operations related to ticketing, tours, hotels, visa processing, transportation, Umrah/Hajj operations, vendor settlements, and customer payments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and daily financial records.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Reconcile revenue from air ticketing, Umrah/Hajj, tours, hotels, visas, and transportation.
- Perform BSP reconciliation, airline settlements, refunds, and commission tracking.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Process payroll, staff incentives, and commissions.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, Sales Tax/VAT, Withholding Tax, and FBR regulations.
- Manage accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP Business One, or similar ERP systems).
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, transport companies, and other vendors.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain proper financial documentation.
- Monitor foreign currency transactions and international payments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Experience with BSP reconciliation is preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP Business One, Microsoft Excel, or similar accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
