Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in Student Affairs, Student Welfare, Counselling or Campus Life Management

Job Summary:
College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) is seeking an experienced, proactive and student-focused Student Affairs Officer to manage student relations, admissions, and engagement activities. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, a friendly personality, and the ability to act as the primary point of contact for students, ensuring smooth communication, efficient administrative processes, and a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for student queries, personal concerns and grievances
  • Plan and conduct orientation and induction sessions for new students
  • Monitor student discipline, attendance and adherence to code of conduct
  • Provide guidance and counselling support to students facing academic, personal or social challenges
  • Organize co-curricular activities, student events, competitions and welfare initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between students and administration/faculty to resolve issues
  • Maintain confidential student records and case files
  • Handle disciplinary matters and escalate serious cases per institute policy
  • Support and mentor student clubs and societies
  • Prepare reports on student affairs activities, incidents and engagement for management
  • Professionally represent COTHM in all student interactions and campus events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student and faculty body.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • Empathetic, patient and approachable personality
  • Ability to handle sensitive student issues with confidentiality
  • Good organizational skills to manage events, records and multiple student cases
  • Sound understanding of student discipline policies and code of conduct
  • Prior experience in organizing student events, orientations, or societies is a plus
