Full job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Security Executive to protect our organization's digital assets, networks, systems, and sensitive information. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security threats, implementing security controls, conducting vulnerability assessments, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud environments for security threats and suspicious activities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits on internal systems and applications.
  • Identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, antivirus solutions, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend security improvements.
  • Manage user access controls and permissions following the principle of least privilege.
  • Ensure timely installation of security patches, updates, and system hardening measures.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees.
  • Perform log monitoring and security event analysis using SIEM or similar tools.
  • Secure websites, web applications, and databases against common vulnerabilities.
  • Work with developers and IT teams to ensure secure software development and deployment practices.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup verification, and business continuity planning.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company data and client information.
  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 web application security risks.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and cloud security.
  • Understanding of endpoint security and identity & access management.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, antivirus, EDR/XDR, and log monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of SSL/TLS, encryption, authentication, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Understanding of malware analysis and incident response.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
