Job Summary

An Agentic AI Developer designs, builds, and deploys autonomous AI systems capable of planning, reasoning, using tools, interacting with external systems, and completing multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention and in an EdTech environment.

This role focuses on building AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, using tools, collaborating with other agents, and interacting with educational platforms while ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and responsible AI practices.

The position requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to support both employees and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Agentic AI applications for educational products.
• Build AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, memory management, tool usage, and decision-making.
• Develop multi-agent systems to automate educational workflows and personalized learning.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into web and mobile applications.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for educational knowledge retrieval.
• Develop AI tutors, teaching assistants, grading assistants, and curriculum planning agents.
• Integrate AI agents with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and third-party APIs.
• Build secure APIs and backend services for AI-powered applications.
• Optimize prompts, workflows, and agent orchestration for performance and accuracy.
• Evaluate AI systems using automated benchmarks and human feedback.
• Monitor AI agent performance, reliability, observability, latency, and cost.
• Implement guardrails, content moderation, privacy controls, and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with other team members such as Data Scientists, ML Engineers, UX designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to create intelligent learning experiences powered by LLMs and agentic AI frameworks.
• Stay updated with advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, autonomous agents, and EdTech or emerging technologies.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Experience

• 2-8 years of software development experience, depending on role level.
• 1-4 years of experience working with Generative AI, LLM applications, and AI development.
• Experience building AI agents, chatbots, assistants, or autonomous workflow systems.
• Experience building educational AI tutors or adaptive learning systems.
• Experience deploying cloud-based AI applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience integrating APIs and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with MLOps, LLMOps practices, and emerging AI technologies, including multimodal AI, AI copilots, voice agents, and autonomous workflow automation.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research in AI/EdTech.
• Prior experience in the EdTech domain is an added advantage.
