Job Summary

Responsible to examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

Specific Tasks

1. Assessment and exercise therapy for patients, with neurological, orthopedic, sports, Peads, gynae pulmonary, cardiac and other problems.

2. Assessment of patients in accordance with the professional practice guide lines and standard.

3. Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.

4. Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.

5. Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.

6. Advising patients on exercise techniques.

7. Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.

8. Application of splints Orthosis and Prosthetics.

9. Regularly measure patient’s progress by looking for signs of pains, stiffness, and discomforts e.t.c.

10. Refers patients to other specialists for further treatments.

11. Recommended new tools and equipments to against patients with regular exercise.

12. Continuous Physical Therapy Education/Medical Education programs (CME or CPTE)

13. Transcribe consultant’s orders accordingly.

14. Documenting patient care history.

15. Comply infection control policy.

16. Maintain accurate documents of patients.

17. Prepare weekly/monthly reports –objectively.

18. Assessment of use of assistive devices.

19. Designing Rehab protocols for physical therapists.

20. Training of attendants both for OPD and IPD patients.

21. Give report to the manager with particular attention to patient related issue.

Qualification and Experience:

DPT registered with Pakistan Physical therapy association, with 1-2 years relevant experience.
