Job Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. The role includes power, lighting, low-current systems, and LV/MV electrical design in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems, including power, lighting, communication, and CCTV.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for LV and MV systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Develop LV and MV electrical designs, including transformers, switchgear, panels, and distribution systems.
• Design and coordinate low-current systems such as data, communication, fire alarm interface, and CCTV.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and BOQs in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international and local electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to resolve design interfaces.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in electrical design (adjust as needed).
• knowledge of LV/MV systems and building services design.
