About the Role

GIMME is looking for dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic individuals to join our kitchen team as Kitchen Assistants / Crew Members. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure that all food items are prepared according to restaurant standards and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Prepare ingredients and stock workstations before service.
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
  • Wash, clean, and organize kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing inventory deliveries.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and restaurant SOPs.
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
  • Help minimize food wastage and maintain kitchen efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum Matric qualification.
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take instructions.
  • Punctual, disciplined, and hardworking.
