About American TelePhysicians:
American TelePhysicians (ATP) is a U.S.-based healthcare organization providing telemedicine, specialty care, and physician services to hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing facilities, correctional facilities, and other healthcare organizations across the United States. We are seeking Virtual Medical Assistants / Medical Scribes to join our Lahore office and provide real-time clinical and administrative support to U.S.-based physicians. This position is specifically designed for medical doctors/MBBS graduates with medical scribing experience who have strong clinical knowledge, excellent English communication skills, and an understanding of U.S. healthcare documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide real-time virtual medical assistant and medical scribing support to U.S.-based physicians. Attend virtual patient encounters and accurately document the clinical encounter in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Document History of Present Illness (HPI), Review of Systems (ROS), relevant medical history, examination findings as dictated, Assessment and Plan, medications, allergies, and follow-up instructions. Prepare clinical notes for physician review and signature. Review patient charts before appointments and summarize relevant medical history, laboratory results, imaging, previous consultations, and other clinical information. Assist physicians with pre-charting and chart preparation before scheduled clinics and rounding sessions. Update patient charts based on physician instructions. Assist with entering orders, referrals, and other information into the EHR when permitted and directed by the physician. Track pending laboratory tests, imaging, referrals, and follow-up requirements. Assist physicians with administrative tasks related to patient care. Support virtual specialty clinics and hospital rounding workflows. Coordinate with scheduling, clinical operations, and support teams to ensure smooth patient encounters. Ensure documentation is completed accurately and promptly following each encounter. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and U.S. healthcare privacy requirements. Escalate clinical or operational concerns to the appropriate physician or supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
MBBS / MD or equivalent medical degree is required. Previous medical scribing experience is strongly preferred. Experience supporting U.S.-based physicians or U.S. healthcare organizations is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical documentation, and physician workflows. Ability to understand and summarize complex medical histories. Familiarity with SOAP notes, HPI, ROS, Assessment & Plan, and standard U.S. clinical documentation formats. Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong listening and typing skills with the ability to document physician-patient conversations accurately in real time. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Good understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Comfortable working directly with U.S.-based physicians and clinical teams.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a doctor who combines strong clinical knowledge with excellent documentation and organizational skills. We are looking for someone who can understand a physician's clinical thought process, accurately capture the patient encounter, review medical records efficiently, and reduce the physician's administrative workload. The candidate should be proactive rather than simply waiting for instructions. They should be able to prepare charts before clinics, identify missing information, track outstanding items, and help physicians stay organized throughout their clinical schedule. Accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, responsiveness, and attention to detail are essential for this position.
Working Hours:
Because this role directly supports U.S.-based physicians and patient encounters, candidates must be comfortable working U.S. business hours/evening or night shifts in Pakistan, depending on the assigned physician or clinic schedule.
