Full job description

Megaplus is looking for an experienced Import Officer to join our Procurement & Supply Chain team in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle import documentation and coordinate import shipments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and banks.
  • Prepare and verify import-related documents including invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, and LC/TT documents.
  • Track shipments from order placement to delivery.
  • Coordinate customs clearance and resolve shipment-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of import transactions and documentation.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding import requirements.
  • Assist in calculating import costs, duties, taxes, and other related charges.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable import regulations and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in imports/procurement, preferably in the IT, electronics, or trading industry.
  • Good knowledge of import documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping.
  • Experience dealing with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and suppliers.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • ERP/SAP experience will be an advantage.
