Introduction:

Clifton Medical Services (CMS) is part of the Aga Khan University Hospital's Outreach Medical Centres, designed to conveniently provide quality healthcare services to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week, closer to where they live and work. CMS offers 24/7 Emergency Services for patients of all ages who need emergency medical attention. When patients require admission, they can be directly transferred to in-patient units located at Stadium Road Campus through a well-equipped ambulance accompanied by qualified staff. Our wide range of multi-specialty clinics for men, women, and children of all ages are designed to meet the needs and demands of patients based on their health status and lifestyle. CMS also has state-of-the-art Daycare Chemotherapy and Dialysis units, where patients receive compassionate care, treatment, and services from highly qualified, trained, and experienced doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff. When the doctor requests laboratory tests or clinical imaging (e.g. X-ray, Ultrasound, CT scan, Mammogram & OPG scan), the patient can get it done at CMS. For all prescriptions, patients can pick up their medicines from our pharmacy, also conveniently located at CMS.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • Ability to understand issues from the patient's perspective.
  • Ability to maintain continuous open and consistent communication with faculty, staff, patients and their families.
  • Ability to makes straight - forward decisions based on information that is generally clear and adequate, considering the risks and consequences of action and/or decisions.
  • Ability to take action to avoid imminent problems
  • Ability to counsel patients and their families at their level of understanding
  • Good written communication skills, especially with regard to patient care documentation.
  • Assess patients and perform and complete required paperwork by filling out relevant forms as per the hospital protocols.
  • Participates in the management of patients under supervision of Senior Residents, Staff / Senior Medical staff Medical Officer and Consultants
  • Display effective and relevant documentation with quality record keeping of clinical notes, progress notes and discharge summaries as indicated.
  • Work with nursing and paramedical staff as a member of the patient care team.
  • Ensure that patients are given correct medications / instructions as advised by the Consultants and explain their health care needs.
  • Continually work toward enhancing competencies in a clinical setting under supervision of consultants and other faculty and staff.
  • Participate in educational activities, such as Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, where applicable.
  • Keep aware of infection control practices and follow the same in workplace.

Requirements:

You should have:

  • MBBS
  • 1 – 5 years post - MBBS experience
