Human Capital HR Solutions is hiring on behalf of its client in the Insurance sector.
Position: Medical Underwriter
Grade: Assistant Manager
Location: Lahore – Corporate Office
Industry: Insurance Sector
Experience: Minimum 3 years in the medical field
Qualification: MBBS from a recognized medical school/university
About the Role
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Medical Underwriter to assess medical risks and make sound underwriting decisions for individual life insurance proposals.
The successful candidate will review medical reports, tests, and investigations while ensuring compliance with established underwriting guidelines and the Authority Matrix. The role will also involve coordination with branches, Direct Distribution, Compliance, medical bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate case decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Assess medical risks associated with individual life insurance proposals.
Review medical reports, investigations, tests, and related documentation.
Make appropriate underwriting decisions in line with approved guidelines and the Authority Matrix.
Coordinate with branches, Direct Distribution, Compliance, medical bodies, and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely resolution and processing of underwriting cases.
Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance throughout the underwriting process.
Exercise sound medical judgment when evaluating complex cases.
Required Skills
Strong analytical, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
Strong initiative and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
