Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Officer to provide comprehensive primary and emergency medical care at remote oil and gas field locations. The Medical Officer will be responsible for managing medical emergencies, conducting routine consultations, promoting occupational health, and ensuring compliance with company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards. The ideal candidate has experience working in remote or industrial environments and is capable of making sound clinical decisions with limited resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary healthcare services to employees at the rig site or field camp.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat illnesses and workplace injuries.
- Respond to medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and coordinate medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) when required.
- Perform pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical assessments as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Manage the site medical clinic, including medications, medical supplies, and emergency equipment.
- Conduct health surveillance and monitor employees with occupational health risks.
- Deliver first aid, CPR, and emergency response training to site personnel.
- Participate in emergency drills and support the site's Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Promote employee health and wellness through awareness campaigns and preventive healthcare initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, local regulations, and international occupational health standards.
- Prepare medical reports, incident documentation, and health statistics for management.
- Liaise with hospitals, emergency services, and company management regarding medical cases and evacuations.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license/registration with the relevant medical authority.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
- Previous experience in oil & gas, drilling rigs, mining, construction, marine, or remote-site healthcare is preferred.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- ATLS, PHTLS, ITLS, or Offshore Medic certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of occupational medicine and emergency medicine is highly desirable.
Pay: Rs110,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
