Full job description

About Squad Health

Squad Health provides navigation services and software to US medical practices to remove barriers to treatment — especially prescription access.

Our services include benefits investigation, prior authorization submission, patient assistance enrollment, pharmacy coordination, and patient engagement.

Our team members operate as extensions of provider offices, supporting clinical staff through accurate documentation and consistent follow-up.

About the Role

Squad Health is hiring a Medication Coordinator to ensure patients get on therapy quickly and affordably. You will be responsible for identifying the root cause driving issues with scripts and resolving them by coordinating with different stakeholders—doctors, patients, pharmacies, and payers—to minimize delay in care. A standout person in this role will drive higher satisfaction among providers and reduce time-to-therapy for patients.

The ideal candidate will have had at least 1 year of managing a team of prior authorization specialists at a specialty clinic or shown equivalent development in a prior authorization role at a specialty clinic. You are low-ego, curious, and love getting into the weeds to solve complex problems for providers and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly review, resolve, and respond to clinic inquiries
  • Document issues that arise to surface tactical feedback for our operations, product, and tech teams
  • Work closely with different Squad team members to resolve patient cases
  • Maintain patience and empathy with our providers and patients to make sure they feel supported and confident that we are properly handling their medications
  • Have strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Have a strong growth mindset but are also low ego and willing to get your hands dirty solving difficult situations

Qualifications

  • 1+ years at a specialty clinic submitting and managing prior authorizations for specialty medications (e.g., biologics, GLP-1s) - ideal is at allergy / ENT, pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurology, or urology clinic
  • 1+ years managing other team members, i.e., tracking their performance, providing feedback, creating and maintaining training materials
  • Showed growth in their position, i.e., 1 promotion in the past 2 years at the same clinic

Pay: Rs160,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month

Application Question(s):

  • What medications do you have experience submitting prior authorizations for?
  • What are roles and responsibilities in your current role?
  • Have you been promoted in the past 2 years?
  • How have you been measured in your performance in your current role? And do you currently meet or exceed those expectations?
  • Are you committed to working a full-time schedule on ET hours (i.e., 9 - 6pm ET)?
  • Do you have any other commitments that can interfere with the expected working hours?
