Full job description
DSRA Medical Centre, a charitable healthcare facility near PNS Shifa Hospital, Karachi, is looking for a responsible, qualified, and experienced Medical Dispenser to join our morning shift.
This is an excellent part-time opportunity for a Medical Dispenser, Pharmacy Assistant, or qualified dispensing professional looking for a short morning shift in a professional medical centre environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately according to doctors' prescriptions.
- Prepare and issue prescribed medicines to patients.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed and received.
- Monitor medicine stock, inventory levels, and expiry dates.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of medicines.
- Identify and report low-stock, expired, or near-expiry medicines.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the dispensing area.
- Coordinate with doctors, medical officers, and other healthcare staff.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to patients.
- Follow proper medication-handling, dispensing, and safety procedures.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by the management.
Education & Certification
- Relevant qualification or certification in Medical Dispensing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Valid professional registration/certification, where applicable, will be an advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of proven experience as a Medical Dispenser.
- Experience in a hospital, clinic, medical centre, pharmacy, or healthcare facility will be preferred.
- Candidates with good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, dosage forms, and basic pharmacy practices are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
Days: Monday to Saturday
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Salary / Compensation
Negotiable, based on qualification, experience, and suitability for the position.
