Job Purpose

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting business data to support strategic decision-making. The role involves developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that help management improve operational efficiency, sales performance, financial planning, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management

  • Collect data from ERP, CRM, HRMS, accounting systems, Excel files, and other databases.
  • Validate, clean, and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
  • Organize large datasets for analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with company policies.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze sales, inventory, finance, HR, procurement, and operational data.
  • Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform root cause analysis for business issues.
  • Conduct profitability, cost, and performance analysis.

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Develop daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Create interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Prepare KPI reports for management.
  • Automate recurring reports whenever possible.

Business Intelligence

  • Support management with data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs.
  • Forecast sales, inventory requirements, and business trends.
  • Assist departments in making evidence-based decisions.

Database Management

  • Maintain SQL databases and data warehouses.
  • Write SQL queries for data extraction.
  • Optimize data structures for reporting efficiency.

Process Improvement

  • Identify reporting inefficiencies.
  • Recommend automation solutions.
  • Improve data collection processes.
  • Develop standard reporting procedures.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Procurement, Stores, Service, and Management.
  • Understand business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into analytical reports.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in:
  • Data Science
  • Statistics
  • Computer Science
  • Business Analytics
  • Finance

Experience Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience creating dashboards.
  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems.

Experience in healthcare, laboratory supplies, or medical equipment companies is an advantage.
