Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior System & Network Engineer to support our client's IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, firewalls, structured cabling, and IP telephony. The ideal candidate should have good hands-on troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a professional IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, switches, routers, and network devices.
- Provide basic administration and support for Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and basic security policies.
- Install and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet and fiber-optic cabling.
- Perform rack, patch panel, cable labeling, and network infrastructure work.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP phones and VoIP connectivity.
- Monitor network and server performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Provide technical support to users and escalate complex issues when required.
- Maintain basic network diagrams, documentation, and IT asset records.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in system/network support or IT infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with servers, firewalls, network devices, Ethernet/fiber cabling, and IP phones.
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CCNA or relevant certifications will be an advantage.
