Build Our HR Function From The Ground Up

Naveed Event Management is one of Pakistan’s established event management and catering companies, operating since 1998. We deliver large scale events and catering for corporate clients, diplomatic missions, and government institutions, and we have served organisations including Schlumberger, PPL, Ericsson, and foreign missions in Islamabad.

We are in an expansion phase. We are opening a new corporate office, launching new business verticals, and building out our sales, marketing, events and finance departments. We are looking for an HR Manager to build the HR function that will support all of it.

This is a build role, not a maintenance role.

There is no existing HR department to inherit. You will design the org structure, write the job descriptions, put employment documentation in place, build the policy manual, and establish the performance and recruitment processes for a company of 114+ people. If you have only administered an established HR function, this will not suit you. If you have built one, this is the role.

What you will own

Organisation and structure:

org design, job descriptions with KPIs, employment contracts and appointment letters, HR policy manual, performance review cycle, pay bands, and onboarding.

Recruitment across every grade:

From department heads and managers through to executives, and equally to skilled trades and field staff: event manager, AV specialists, chefs, bbq specialists, food purchasers, drivers, and loading crews. Both halves of this are core to the job, not occasional.

Payroll and compliance:

Monthly payroll preparation, attendance and leave, advance policy, EOBI and social security, labour law compliance, and employment documentation.

Culture:

Birthdays, work anniversaries, festivals, recognition programmes, internal communication, and being the person staff come to first.

What we are looking for

8+ years in HR with at least 3 at manager level. Strong candidates with 5+ years and clear evidence of building a function will be considered.

Demonstrated experience setting up an HR department or function from scratch.

Recruitment experience spanning both management and blue-collar or trade roles.

Working knowledge of Pakistani labour law, EOBI and social security.

Hands-on payroll preparation experience.

Bachelor’s degree. MBA in HR, MHRM or an HR certification is preferred.

Fluent English and Urdu.

A strong plus

Experience in a multi-site operational business; hospitality, catering, events, manufacturing, logistics, construction, facility management or healthcare — where HR covers both head-office professionals and site-based staff. Experience in a founder-led or family business moving toward professional management is highly relevant.

What we offer

PKR 200,000 per month.

Direct reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with genuine authority to build the function your way.

An HR Executive available to you on request, whenever you decide the function needs one.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Probation: 3 months. Notice period: 15 days during probation, 30 days after confirmation.
