Job Description (JD) – School Event Photographer

Job Purpose

The School Event Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality photos and videos of all school events, classroom activities, achievements, and daily campus life. The role supports the school's marketing, branding, documentation, and parent engagement by creating professional visual content.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photographs and videos during all school events, assemblies, competitions, sports, graduations, field trips, and celebrations.
• Take classroom and activity photographs as assigned.
• Ensure every event is fully documented from start to finish.
• Edit photos and videos for clarity, colour correction, and presentation.
• Deliver edited photos and videos within 24–48 hours after each event.
• Maintain an organised digital archive of all media by event and date.
• Coordinate with the Campus Head and Marketing Team regarding event schedules and content requirements.
• Create promotional content for social media, the school website, brochures, and advertisements.
• Capture student achievements, teacher activities, and campus highlights for newsletters and annual reports.
• Ensure proper lighting, framing, and composition for all photographs.
• Handle photography equipment carefully and report any maintenance requirements.
• Respect student privacy and follow school policies regarding photography permissions.
• Assist in creating promotional videos, reels, interviews, and testimonials when required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Photography, Media, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of photography or videography experience.
• Proficiency in DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and lighting equipment.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar editing software.
• Ability to create engaging social media content.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Creative eye for composition and storytelling.
• Ability to work under deadlines and during weekends or after-school events when required.

• 100% coverage of assigned school events.
• Edited media delivered within 24–48 hours.
• High-quality, well-organised digital media library.
• Timely support for marketing and admissions campaigns.
• Positive feedback from management and parents regarding event coverage.
• Consistent production of social media-ready content.

Working Hours

• As per school timings.
• Additional hours may be required during annual functions, sports days, graduations, and special events.

Equipment Responsibility

• Responsible for the safe handling and maintenance of cameras, lenses, memory cards, batteries, lighting equipment, and other assigned accessories.
• Any loss or damage due to negligence may be subject to disciplinary action as per school policy.

Job Type: Full-time
