Referral Coordinator – US Healthcare Operations (Remote)

Location: Remote – Pakistan
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Compensation: PKR 150,000 – 250,000/month (take-home)
Reports To: Call Center Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to manage the end-to-end referral process across our US healthcare and legal operations. You will act as the critical link between law firms, medical providers, patients, and internal departments — ensuring referrals are received, tracked, documented, and followed up on with precision. This is a backend coordination role requiring strong English communication, healthcare workflow knowledge, and HIPAA compliance awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process inbound referrals from law firms, medical providers, and internal departments
- Verify referral information for completeness: patient details, referring provider, reason for referral, insurance information, and urgency level
- Coordinate with the appropriate internal team — Telemed, Doctor Onboarding, Pharmacy, or Billing — to ensure referrals are actioned promptly
- Follow up with referring parties to confirm receipt, status updates, and next steps
- Maintain a detailed referral tracking log with status updates, timelines, and outcomes
- Communicate referral status clearly and professionally to US-based attorneys, medical offices, and patients via phone and written correspondence
- Generate referral activity reports for the Call Center Manager on a daily or weekly basis
- Escalate urgent or unresolved referrals per established protocols
- Ensure all referral handling complies fully with HIPAA patient privacy standards
Required Qualifications
- Excellent spoken and written English — you will communicate directly with US attorneys, providers, and patients
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active referrals simultaneously
- Understanding of healthcare referral workflows and medical terminology
- HIPAA compliance knowledge and commitment to patient data confidentiality
- Experience in a referral coordination, case management, or healthcare administrative role
- Reliable high-speed internet and a professional, distraction-free home workspace
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in US personal injury, DME, wound care, pharmacy, or telemedicine referral environments
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems or case management platforms
- Experience generating structured written reports and referral logs in English
- Background working with law firms or insurance companies in a healthcare context
