US Based Medical Billing jobs

Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist with hands-on experience in US Behavioral Health / Mental Health or School Counseling billing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in claims processing, AR follow-up, payer communication, denial management, and billing/AR reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and submit claims for behavioral health and school counseling services
• Perform AR follow-up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims
• Review EOBs/ERAs, claim status, denials, and payment discrepancies
• Verify eligibility, benefits, and payer requirements where required
• Handle claim corrections, appeals, reconsiderations, and denial resolution
• Monitor AR aging, outstanding balances, and payer-wise receivables
• Prepare and maintain billing, AR, denial, payment, and collection reports
• Provide regular updates on AR status, aging trends, denials, and collection performance
• Coordinate with providers and internal teams regarding missing documentation and billing issues
• Maintain accurate billing records and follow payer-specific requirements

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on US Medical Billing / RCM experience
• Prior experience in Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Psychology, or School Counseling billing strongly preferred
• Strong AR follow-up and denial management experience
• Good understanding of claims, EOB/ERA, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, and payer workflows
• Experience preparing and analyzing AR and billing reports
• Experience working with payer portals and medical billing/EMR systems
• Strong knowledge of commercial and government insurance processes
