Awful place to work
Selector (Former Employee) - Chelmsford, Essex - October 3, 2023
Poor management Coordination, law pay, early shifts starts 4 00 am , lots of pressure, no understanding and support from Management team. A bad place to work.

Terrible management
Selector (Former Employee) - South Windsor, CT - September 23, 2023
The pay is great but the things you have to deal with aren’t worth it. Management truly doesn’t appreciate its good employees and take advantage of them while the lazy ones slide by. They just want to see the work getting done and are blind to everything else that goes on around them.

Fast pace
Selector/Picker (Former Employee) - Springfield, OH - September 21, 2023
Great pay, fast work environment, and flexible with scheduling if part time. Your work day is done once all orders for the day have been picked up and nothing else is available. You may have choice to stay over and help others. Hours vary from 5-7 hours

Distribution centre picker (Current Employee) - Naas, County Kildare - September 20, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I work at ALDI in the warehouse in the Produse section in Ireland. and I love it. I would like to work in the same field only in England What is the most stressful part about working at the company? I didn't notice anything difficult in my work What is the work environment and culture like at the company? everything is available, very convenient and clean What is a typical day like for you at the company? I have an evening shift and I collect produce for stores

Productive workplace
Warehouse Selector (Current Employee) - West Lothian - September 18, 2023
Aldi is a good place for those who want to go up the ladder and find new opportunities, it is hard graft and sometimes long hours but the pay is very good and will always be going up due to other competitors

Good work flexible
Order Picker (Former Employee) - Denton, TX - September 18, 2023
When I would go in we would always start with a stretch to warm us up then we were straight to work. The work is fast paced by anyone is always willing to help if you get backed up.

Horrible management
Order Picker (Current Employee) - Mt. Juliet, TN - September 16, 2023
Most managers try to be nice or seem to try and fit the par but overall to them you are just a number nothing more nothing less they don’t care about your overall health just that they want to be number 1 store to get there bonus as management

Basically get paid to work out
Order Selector (Former Employee) - Oak Creek, WI - September 16, 2023
Fast paced and physically demanding as an order selector helped keep me physically fit. No real complaints except the occasional long shifts but that wasn’t the worst. Break room always had food and drinks. Was paid well, good place to work while establishing my career separate from this industry
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Long shifts occasionally

Not worth it
Order Picker (Former Employee) - Oak Creek, WI - September 13, 2023
Too low of pay for a backbreaking job. Working in the freezer you’ll be squatting picking up 30-80lbs boxes of produce (Frozen meats, crates of apples) all day and on top of it they force overtime upon you from the slack of others.

Too many employees and nothing is fair
Warehouse Selector (Former Employee) - Tully, NY - September 12, 2023
Favoritism is all that matters and my favorite part of the job was the physical exercise you could obtain from it I lost over 100 pounds thanks to the miles and miles I would walk

Physically demanding but decent pay and benefits
Order selector (Former Employee) - Tully, NY - September 9, 2023
A very physical demanding job but the pay and benefits help balance it out. The one thing I didn’t like it they are constantly on you about your rate. It didn’t matter how great of an employee you were, how safe and nice stacked pallets you had, if you stop to help with spills, if you rudely cut others off to make rate,. The only thing they see is what you are picking per hour and it better be the average or they write you up.

Training is a joke
Order Picker (Current Employee) - Faribault, MN - September 8, 2023
It's very fast pace makes the hours fly by but when u really don't know the operation yet it's very challenging. They say if u need.help just ask anybody around. I learned I was a burden on most I asked. Heaven for bid u make a mistake (well he thought I did) cuz he was a complete jerk and the the following night sat in another isle watching me as I struggled to stake an order it took me and hour and half to.do so. When it was break everyone went not me because I wasn't done with the order I had to wait.
Pros
Always busy
Cons
Training was long enough.for all u got to remember

good pay but no set hours.
Selector (Former Employee) - Sawley, Derbyshire - September 7, 2023
Pay is good if you can get the hours. Shifts can be anything between 4 and 10 hours and you don't know until you get there. Friendly place to work and progression opportunities.

Not fun. Can be boring at times. A lot of manual labor.
Warehouse Selector (Current Employee) - South Windsor, CT - September 6, 2023
Typical day at work is go to work wit safety shoes and clothes, punch in , grab tugger, grab your equipment for headset if you are a selector. Go to meeting and listen. Then you work after you have an order. Hardest part of the job is breaking your body down to hit rate by constantly lifting boxes. Usually pick up 400+ boxes a day. Most enjoyable part is finishing the job and going home. Management could be better. So managers are cool and some are terrible. Also it is disorganized at times.
Pros
Schedule is great. Two weeks wit two days off and then one week wit 3 days off. The process repeats.
Cons
Breaks are not realistic

Avoid
Picker (Former Employee) - Faverdale - September 6, 2023
Imagine going to the gym lifting weights for 7-10 hours straight with a 20 min break and having to hit a pick rate or 250 cases a hour none stop. They have you working like robots even hitting 245 a hour ‘isn’t good enough’ the deputy’s speak to you very badly a lot of the time and make you feel worthless. You try your hardest and ‘it’s not good enough’ highly would NOT recommend working here, the staff turn over is huge because they can’t keep people.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours. Short breaks.

Mid warehouse job
Picker (Former Employee) - Moreno Valley, CA - September 5, 2023
Could’ve been better Favoritism occurs here Hours are unpredictable and takes a while to get weekends off The pay is decent compared to other warehouses

Good if you like the basics at the bottom.
Order Picker (Current Employee) - Frederick, MD - September 1, 2023
Pay is great but the hours dramatically fluctuate. Moving up takes years due to seniority. Either that or you have a college background. You cap out after 4 years and are supposed to receive a bonus after that. I don't know a single person who has received that bonus.
Pros
Nice people, lenient, good benefits
Cons
4 hour days, little room to advance, constant changes

Worst place I’ve ever worked
Selector (Former Employee) - Salisbury, NC - September 1, 2023
They pay is GREAT but morale doesn’t exist in Aldi. They play favorites like your in high school. They reward the people who don’t care about the job (always calling out, always late, in the bathroom and break room throughout the shift) and give the people who work hard a hard time. Oh and feelings aren’t allowed or you will be considered insubordinate and “playing the victim “. The job itself is fun & challenging but bad leadership makes it absolutely miserable.

No work life balance
Voice picker (Former Employee) - Sawley, Derbyshire - August 25, 2023
Heavy job but it depends on the the department, nights are more physically demanding with them 18-20kg cases. Pay is okay tho but long hours. For a short term I'd okay.

Selector/Picker (Current Employee) - Saxonburg, PA - August 20, 2023
