Colleagues work together to develop teaching curriculum Share information from upper level to us. I learned that working with other people can be tedious because of ego, know ASL when person is hearing, person in charge with me as teacher or coordinator tend to be overstepped or 'think s/he knows language better. My co works are " me" personality and in competitive approach when they are just a part-time workers. Hardest job is when when writing curriculum or something, it has been take away from me and handed to others who doesn't meet the expectation. most enjoyable part, I would say whole is the students.

Productive and Fun Work Environment

I personally learned a lot. It was in my second year and the focus was more on 3rd-year level but still, I was able to take a lot as a second-year student.

Feel valued

I have worked as a hca here for 9 months. I have really enjoyed learning new skills and feel supported throughout all of my training. I appreciate the support of all the staff and I’m always learning.

Excellent employer

Really appreciated previous experience.Excellent team and support in a challenging environment. Always an operations officer at the end of the phone 24/7 to assist or resolve any awkward situations.Immediate section boss available 24/7 and very approachable.

Hired staff helpful nice environment to work for

Got hired after three months from a Agency liked working there no issues. Helpful to train on equipment. Benefits were ok could be better. Great team to work with

Low wages , long hours

Very long days. Hourly rate is pathetic. Managers just not interested. Trucks are old and ready for scrap yards.Zero communication from transport.

The best team with a positive and productive work environment

I have worked for ASL for 12 years now and I still love my job. I work with the BEST team. There is a family feel here with some employees working here for over 25 years!! If that doesn't speak volumes about a company, I don't know what does. It is a positive atmosphere, I actually enjoy going to work! On top of the amazing people at ASL, our service levels are the best in the industry. With the team backing up what I sell, it makes my position in sales that much more enjoyable!! Jim (ASL's president) is a hands on owner who is the heart and soul of the company. His drive and day to day involvement is key to why ASL is so successful and why ASL has the positive culture it does!!!

i have been here for over three years and still like to come to work everyday. i don't wake up and hate coming in. management is very understanding and they make you feel like family.

ASL don’t bother

I worked at A S L for 3 years ,I was given pretty much impossible work targets a lot of the time ,I complained about the way thing were placed on pallets because I ended up restocking them ,I was told the reason they where stacked like this is because the perpetrator did not speak English ,came in several times in overtime to find nobody had bothered to open the place .badly organised workplace ,people victimised and losing their bonuses over things other people got away with .dont bother

Very poor manager. Very inappropriate conversations. Got written up for listening to my lead. Got written up for forgetting to mop. No warnings just write you up.

Productive but under-run

Great place to stay busy and have good work and good pay and hours options to work in town or travel to Chicago for a week or so getting paid travel time and allowance for food and gas reimbursement and overtime but the owner and boss was so unorganized and bought a shop in Anna Illinois but it was not up to code and leaked when it rained ext. Never kept up with the pay week or hours worked nor kept the materials needed stocked

I love my job and my clients. And I’ve been independent all my life.

I am now a widow and I live alone for 6 years and found I can do this siting down , being inside and rested I’m getting older and I enjoy training also actually when I had my agency I took in and interned with as well s mentored After my hubby passed I just started on my own I am NAD IV certified I am retiring Nd I need less stressful pain on my body, as well as less driving is awesome For me I would Wolike tinier part time, but I m flexible
