A typical day is running cycle counts, solving inventory issues and working hand and hand with all of my associates. There is nothing hard about this job.

Job security is relatively high, salary is comparable to local scale. Great teamwork culture exists at the 6 sites where I have worked. Better initial associate training is an opportunity and a challenge at most sites.
Pros
Frequent HR sponsored fun events, Extensive training website, opportunity to travel and assist other sites nation wide.

Salaried vacation time is not tracked in any formal system

Zero rating when it comes job work and life balance. Have to work hard and smart simultaneously in order to serve for best interest of company without OT and extremely under pressure for days and night continuously almost everyday. Bleak future career despite the hard work and all sacrificial for company. Every year, those hardworking employee will face issues in clearing all their balance leave (annual leave) as indirectly forced to work and unable to obtain any compensation. As for those at supervisory level, almost every day need to spend additional 2 to 3 hours minimum to work extra hours for free. A total non-happy working environment with too many non-reluctant procedures and rules imposed unnecessarily in order to preserved/control employees/staff discipline which result to extreme pressure and stress which indirectly also has caused end result employee fail to enhance to the best of his ability and resulting a high turnover rate in hiring employees. Too many changes of process control in short period of time and dictatorship rules in organization. Too many meetings and agendas which was conducted daily and it consume/waste precious time. Eg : a normal meeting can goes up between to 3-4 hours and there are meetings continuously for 8 hrs! Despite title/position and minimum salary scale, staff indirectly was forced to handle an unbelievable amount of tasks (inclusive with other task from other dept which is out of the original work scope) with limited resources and tools. Fast pace, with productivity requirements. The Inventory department is very challenging with only one Supervisor per shift and having three to four areas to manage along with special projects, customer request and associate issues.Prioritizing is a must because the department is short staffed.

I have worked 22 year with Exel/DHL supply chain. I have learnt all warehouse function from order picker to Supervisor role. Very cooperative staff. In overall DHL is very good company to work

Good Benefits but hours are long and most weekends are mandatory between April and August. Most days are 11.5 hours. Advancement if you are willing to relocate to another state is usually the driving force behind advancement.

Decent place to work. Could pay a little more. Don't believe in promotions from within. Bring in managers off the street for supervisors to train. 3PL so there is a possibly you will be required to relocate if contract is lost.
