Honestly I am a mail sorter and I came in the door never sorting before and amazed my supervisor on the first day because I’m pretty fast. The faster u are sometimes I feel like they over work u for the pay
Free lunch in Friday’s, benefits, 401K
When u sort fast they send u to help other people who are slow causing u to leave later sometime

Pay & benefits14.50OverallMy experience working for DHL was exactly like my experience as a customer. Chaotic and full of runarounds. Just like they conveniently would just "forget" to send packages, they "forgot" to inform me that they had my paycheck for almost 3 weeks. I worked there for about a week and decided to quit. On my orientation they had me sign up for a direct deposit, so I was expecting that. I've been out of state so I haven't had time to go up there and calling them on the phone proved to be a nightmare because I'm almost 3 weeks, today was the first time I was able to reach someone in payroll. And she told me that they had my paycheck and that I could pick it up on Monday morning since they all leave early on Friday. The entire Time all they had to do was send me a courtesy call and say "hey, just to let you know we have your paycheck" but no.. they were just holding on to my money. I'm glad I left this joke of a company. One thing I don't play about is my money. As far as being a mail sorter, it was easy but boring and painful on the body. I felt like I was losing brain cells. They don't really have an adequate break room and the bathrooms were disgusting. The whole place needed to be upgraded. You had to be escorted to leave the work area to go to the restroom and be badged to get back inside. Felt like I was in kindergarten.

Hello,Thank you for providing us this detailed feedback for your time working with us. We are sorry that your short experience did not meet your expectations. Please note that the salary you describe is indeed a competitive salary, as Indeed.com's salary estimates put it above the national average for the role of a mail sorter. We invest many resources in acquiring and maintaining a strong infrastructure that meets the high standards of our company. Our employees are encouraged to make their voices heard in a timely manner if the facilities require additional care or do not meet the conditions to be effective. We wish you the best of luck in your future career.Best regards,Your Employer Branding Team
The amount that the employees were paid most definitely doesn't reflect the amount of work that was being done for the company. There wasn't much of a discussion when it came to benefits or anything that would be considered important when working for a company. the environment was uncomfortable being that the supervisor on a regular basis would flirt with you or make derogatory remarks.

Hello,Thank you for taking the time to rate us as an employer. We regret that you describe your former working environment in St. Louis with quite critical eyes. After all, the points you specifically mention - high demand, low pay, derogatory remarks from supervisors - can only be properly evaluated on site and any problems that arise should be solved in a constructive cooperation in close communication with superiors and with HR departments. We are fully aware how difficult it can be - especially when the pressure of work is high, conflicts arise or unpleasant decisions have to be made. This requires a high degree of openness and willingness to approach each other, but only with the joint effort of all stakeholders this can be solved. Only doing this we will become better as a company. We wish you for your future good luck and all the best!Your Employer Branding Team
I would have liked this job, but because i worked there a year ago, DHL expected me to be fast at sorting the mail. They were slow a year ago, the work was parttime, and I never got fast at dunking the packages in the bags. I was warned for three days that i was not fast enough. I did a lot of work, because i bagged up a lot of mail. I guess that was not good enough.
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!

I am a full-time DHL employee. I would never recommend family and friends to work for such a racist company. The favoritism they show is down right degrading. They treat the African American workers horribly, while the Causians get special privileges. The supervisors in each department talk about everybody there as if we where in high school. This company in very toxic.
Slave Plantation. They had people working under very hot.... hot.. conditions,I witnessed one white man manager walking around one night saying no talking.... speed it up ladies
When their not f---i g up the pay, you will get it each week
It was ok but I was told I would get night differential but never got it. And they sent me home if there wasn't any work. And they cut my hours from 6 plus hours to 4 or less
DHL would be a very nice place to work at except in the summertime..Its very hot inside the warehouse...I worked on 2nd shift from 2-8pm....My supervisor in Inbound was great..Mark love you to the moon and back...I'm sorry to hot for me..
Off Saturdays and Mondays
Very hot inside the building..No AC..
