I was greatful and disappointed with this global supply chain at the same time. Nothing can prepare you for the culture shock, after 6 months you become used to working with the insane amount of kpi's to manage and achieve. As an Operations Supervisor you quickly find out that upper management will throw anyone under the bus for self preservation. Great experience, learnt valuable lessons that I can take with me for future growth in new environments.
Great pay, great on your cv.
Meetings all day, long hours, sneaky management

Good place to work as non exempt employee. Union takes care of their workers. For supervisor position, horrible to work. You are treated poorly by upper management and there is no support. If they don't like you, they will make it difficult for you to be happy and succeed. You are set up for failure on a daily basis.
Salary is compatible with the work you are expected to accomplish.
Upper management treats their supervisors poorly, No communication and no direction. Support is horrific from managers to supervisors.

Our competitive and above-average salaries reflect our efforts to give our employees the best possible compensation so that they feel valued and respected. If you felt that the communication and support from your superiors was not sufficient, we apologize. Best wishes in all future professional challenges and personal projects, we hope your experience with us can be of use. Keep safe!Best regards,Your Employer Branding Team
All depends on the site you work at and if upper management actually knows anything about the job or even cares enough to learn the system instead of just blaming the supervisors for anything that happens. Really long hours they will make you come in whenever they don't care how long you have to work as long as they don't have to like coming in on days when you work nights. Will be leaving at the first chance. They act like the pay is good, but if you add up all the hours your working the pay sucks.

The work isn't that hard if the employees were allowed to voice their opinions on Improvements. The management is HORRIBLE, no other way to explain it. I was an Operations Supervisor with over 15 years of Management experience and that intimidated the OM. 3 Supervisor's in 18 months! Be very afraid!

Columbia office is chaos with horrible management. I would not recommend anyone to work here. If you want structure, balance, organization, then DHL is not it.

Relatively easy job, but to advance, must be willing to relocate. They will change your shift and give you no options to return. I never felt I could trust MGMT

Would be great if it weren't for CNH, they treat DHL like their personal slaves. Co-workers are the only reason I have stuck around as long as I have.

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
At lot of people said it was my site that was ran improperly. So, I would not extend this out to the company as a whole. But my site was terrible. They overworked you and underpaid you. Not too long after I left there was multiple people fired for mismanagement (GM, Director, Territory, etc)
DHL is a 3PL company that strives to find customers to do business with. Often times the relationship between DHL and its customer is abrasive. DHL tries to up charge for every little expense, while the customer continuously questions the integrity of the decisions being made. The management is extremely unaccountable. The management will do whatever it takes to railroad employees at a lower level in order to protect the higher paid individuals. My former GM was an extremely disturbed individual with an enormous amount of psychological issues. They put him in the smallest account in the country without any other support from DHL to minimize damage to the organization. When trying to seek resolution for the actions of the GM it would result in retaliation by HR and upper management. This is not a company to spend your time with. DHL has only survived in the United States as a 3PL company because they have failed in all other aspects of logistics.
The pay is not as high as some other places doing similar work, but the benefits are outstanding. If your a hard worker, you will get extremely frustrated over time, because management very very rarely holds people accountable. If your a slacker, you will love this place Supervisor and Management pay is much above the average and you really don't have to be very good at it
DHL Supply Chain: Don' believe everything you read. This company is an unprofessional political pyramid scheme, designed to 3PL financial gain into their pockets at any cost. The communication and benefits are kept between friends and family, regardeless of your position. Your professional knowledge and stature will be met with threatening reprisal, demise, and disrespect. I would not recommend DHLSC to anyone who seeks to have a promising career and future, unless you have a very close friend who has already sucked his way to a high position.
