Large portfolio. Great exposure. Culture is difficult to adapt for new joiners. Collaboration within departments are not effective and mature. Very difficult to make departments accountable for their issues' remediation.

HBL is a good place to work

HBL is a good place to work even though they do not offer market competitive salaries but the environment, learning, work life balance and many other things are excellent to spend there. I believe only salary is not important factor in job but the environment, colleagues and management etc. are other factors which keep you associated with it as far as an employee feel to have growth.

Polluted culture of HBL

A full time job that enhance my many qualities regarding typing, listening, and judging to situation and problems of customer. 38 years diversified experience with HBL was my life turning period. . I learnt a lot from my seniors and colleagues. My seniors were helpful to me when ever request for guidance. There was a open discussion environment between my seniors and staff under me. The most enjoyable and challenging part was when I was promoted as DGM and Head of Printing and stationery department. I was responsible for security and safety of Banks asserts involved in printing / supply of all types of stationery items to branches pan Pakistan with in min time period and with min dispatch charges.

It is the largest commercial bank in pakistan with over 13000 employees and a wider range of products and atm network . The department is a wonderfull place with un organized sturcture of working. the growth of most departments are slow but the bonus structure is uncertain and total dependant on the boss . The amount is plentiful. The orgranisation has a multi culture environment.
