6 weeks Internship at PTCL was really a life learning tenure. apart from technical skills, it was a platform that teaches management and improves overall skills that a person require to blend in a organization.

Baised annual assessment leads to unfair remuneration and creats problems for succession planning and retention
Incompetent staff hired at the top teirs consider competent direct subordinate staff as a direct threat to their positions and hence do not fill out their annual assessments fairly.

Corp. Training & Development Lead (Customer Care) (Current Employee) - Lahore - Pakistan - December 15, 2019
Starting of a work day is with daily huddle done with Management in which day to day tasks, challenges and their solutions are decided.
Management is visionary, they take care of their employees.
I have learned the Planing, Leading, Organizing, Controlling and Actuating functions in the Training & Development section. Work under stress and accomplishment of tasks are the hardest part of the job.
Pros
Day Out, Company Lunch, Dinner and Bone fire events.
Cons
PTCL Health Care and Pension

Fun workplace
Sales Manager (Former Employee) - Lahore - Pakistan - November 1, 2019
Company top management is good but lower management just forward the work to lower without checking that same information is already with them. Manager always escape himself instead to face/head the issue.

A good place to work with smart and cooperative team for support available on 24/7 basis. The hardest part of the job is to check whatsapp and emails
Senior Manager (Current Employee) - Karachi - July 23, 2019
- Every day is a busy day with customer handling on one hand and dealing with staff and other administrative issues on other hand.
- Since most of the time is passed in customer dealing , handling their issues, response on emails or on phone. I learned to pay special attention to their grievances. Improve my listening skills to pay attention to every minor details that is given to resolve the issue.
- I myself has introduced birthday celebration of employees with other management staff to motivate the lower grade staff. We have develped a culture where one can speak freely about work, about any issue he/she has with his colleagues or officers.
- The hardest part of the job is to check whatsapp and emails in late hour of night specially in between 11Pm to 6am.
-The most enjoyable part of the job is at the time of events like annual dinner, birthday celebration, Eid Milan or Independence day celebrations where one can speak freely with each other irrespective of his/her position. And other ocassion is at the time of filling Annual Performance when you have to choose between the Best. Having debates with the officers for filling A or B grades is the time when sometimes you have to listen to some very harsh things about yourself or even about each other just to prove that you are the best..
Pros
Good working team.
Cons
Medical Care, Availability on 24/7 basis.

General Manager Administration and Security (Current Employee) - Capital Territory - October 3, 2018
After retiring from the army, i joined PTCL. I have learned a lot about corporate management. I have been given numerous trainings. Recently I was also enrolled on the Harvard Manage Mentor which is an online course for mid-senior level managers. A typical day of my work is supervising works, inspections, meetings scheduled both within the organization and outside with govt departments etc.
