A colleagial and competitive work culture prevailed

A typical day usually started with visiting schools located in remote areas of the community very early morning even before the schools start their usual morning assemblies. Rather conducive environment of learning for those teacher educators who have their passion growing professionally and learn and practice new pedagogical skills. I learnt how to be more human and mindful teacher educator while observing teachers for their teaching sessions and giving them positive feedback. Management at MIED was rather cooperative towards their employees who are competent in their work and proved themselves productive for their organization so that positive collaborative work and learning culture prevailed. The hardest part of the job was adjusting oneself in an environment of remote areas of the country where basic necessities of life are not available, which include accommodation, access to electronic and print media and communication with other part of the country. Nevertheless the most enjoyable part of the job is visiting worth seeing places of the remote areas and enjoy diverse culture and lifestyle of people.

Pros

provision of accomodation on payment

Cons

Isolated from family in remote areas for longer period of time

Productive, learning Institution, cooperative supervisors and staff, fantastic paymaster

UNICEF assists the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to promote and strengthen equity-based health service delivery for every child and woman. An integrated package of quality health and nutrition services is being developed especially for the most disadvantaged and marginalized communities. I have been working as communication consultant (3rd party vendor) in UNICEF Pakistan with name D-Sol Consultants on an extendable term . Friendly work environment and you are actually helping the world to make better place. It's all about work. Fun place to work at if you are passionate about the cause. Having strong communication skills and a people's person are a must. knowledge in UNICEF is more then any thing. it was a golden era of my life.i learnt alot from that job because field work giving more experience and knowledge then office job

Monday morning meeting, an opportunity for all staff to meet and greet

On every monday we start with monday morning meeting.Every team member shares what was done by him/her in last week and what will be done during the week ahead. Cfo explains new developments, management directives and his advice focusing on the week. Every one gets a flavor of what is going on,what is priority for the week, what time bound tasks have to be completed and what challenges are being faced in accomplishment of certain tasks. Security updates are provided so every body is on one wavelength. Logistic support is shared for the week and mobility plans are shared. This enables every staff member to focus on selected tasks with limitations and permissions known. With this organised start of the week, the whole office moves as one team
