Job Overview

Econs is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic consultancy team in Karachi. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with hands-on experience in electrical design and MEP coordination for building projects. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, technically strong, and passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare electrical system designs and layouts using AutoCAD
Conduct site inspections and coordinate implementation activities
Perform load calculations and compile detailed technical documentation
Design efficient lighting layouts using DIALux
Plan and design electrical infrastructure for high-rise buildings
Manage and coordinate meter replacements and upgrades
Review BOQs, shop drawings, and technical submittals for accuracy and compliance
Collaborate closely with MEP teams to ensure interdisciplinary coordination
Perform regular site visits to verify design implementation, resolve technical issues, and coordinate with contractors — a personal commute is therefore highly recommended

Qualifications & Skills

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
✅ Minimum 2 years of consultancy-based electrical design experience
✅ Strong command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
✅ Excellent site coordination and documentation skills
✅ Knowledge of MEP systems and high-rise building design standards
✅ ETAP & DIALux experience is a strong plus
