About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be ACCA Qualified, have a minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, prior experience working with US/Canadian clients, and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks as well as advanced Excel functions. This is a remote role, but candidates must be able to work according to US/Canadian Time Zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  • Handle and manage accounts for assigned companies.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Generate accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
  • Maintain budgets and forecasts.
  • Work with management to improve financial procedures and controls.

Requirements:

  • ACCA Qualified.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Prior experience working with US/Canadian clients.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reporting).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Willingness to work according to US/Canadian Time Zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling multiple clients/accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous remote work experience.
