Full job description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly professional and technically proficient IT Technical Support Officer to join our organization. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, while delivering high-quality technical support to end users across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt and effective technical support for desktops, peripherals, and network-related concerns
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows operating systems and enterprise applications
- Administer Active Directory, including user account management, access control, and policy enforcement
- Oversee configuration and management of network switches and routers to maintain optimal network performance
- Manage VPN infrastructure, including creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of user access and profiles
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues with a structured and proactive approach
- Monitor system and network performance to ensure availability, reliability, and security
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support activities in line with organizational standards
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in an IT support or infrastructure support role
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows environments and Active Directory services
- Hands-on experience with network devices, including switches and routers
- Proven experience in VPN configuration and remote access management
- Sound understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment
Preferred Credentials:
- Exposure to firewall management and network security best practices
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and data backup solutions
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) will be considered an advantage
