The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software, and experience working on product development projects (in job or engineering projects). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, prototyping, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful design and launch of new products.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and Collaborate for product development
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and timelines
- Generate detailed engineering drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes, adhering to industry standards such as ASME Y14.5 for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.100 for Engineering Drawing Practices.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Work with suppliers to select materials, components, and processes suitable for production.
- Maintain documentation for all design processes and creating design documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Fresh or up to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or related engineering roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge related to following would be a plus point.
- Wiring and harness design, development, and integration.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 for wire harness assemblies.
- Basic knowledge of cables, electrical harness connectors and electrical insulation
Who Are We?
At Venturetronics / Powersoft19, our Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineers are involved in the complete product development cycle—from early concept to full production—for advanced electromechanical systems and industrial-grade devices.
Our engineering team works across mechanical structures, control systems, wiring, and enclosures to deliver robust, production-ready solutions. We design and develop systems using a wide variety of components, processes, and disciplines, including:
- Sheet metal parts – brackets, enclosures, panels, housings, and support structures
- Plastic parts – injection-molded and compression-molded components, protective casings, and functional inserts
- Precision machined parts – CNC-milled and turned components for high-strength applications
- Welded assemblies – frames, chassis, and support structures for high-load conditions
- Electromechanical packaging – for PCBs, displays, thermal modules, and electrical interconnects
- Electrical cabinets and enclosures – designed with correct internal layout, mounting strategy, wire/cable routing, and access controls
- Wiring and harness integration – including terminal placement, mounting brackets, routing paths, and wire cut optimization
- Harness connectivity and control – integration of electrical wiring, sensors, power and signal routing, including collaboration between electrical and mechanical subsystems
- Sealing for IP ratings – designs include appropriate use of gaskets, compression seals, and form-in-place solutions to meet IP-rated protection (e.g., IP54, IP65, IP67)
What Makes Our Work Unique
- End-to-end ownership: From concept sketches to 3D CAD, technical drawings, prototyping, testing, design iteration, and production support—our engineers own the full development cycle.
- DFM and sourcing strategy: Engineers ensure their designs are not only optimized for performance but are also manufacturable using components and processes available from suppliers in Pakistan, USA, China, Germany, UK, and other global markets.
- Manufacturing-ready output: All engineers generate detailed technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, GD&T annotations, exploded views, control cabinet schematics, and assembly instructions, in accordance with ASME Y14.5 / Y14.100 and other industry standards.
- Advanced fabrication processes: We design for and coordinate manufacturing through a wide range of techniques, including compression molding, CNC machining, wire cutting, laser cutting, sheet metal bending, and welding.
- Electrical system integration: engineers take ownership of PLC control cabinet design, wiring diagrams, component selection, and ensure compatibility between electrical and mechanical systems.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, and firmware teams work hand-in-hand to ensure seamless integration of electronics, mechanics, and software into reliable, field-ready products.
