Mid AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Computer Vision

Role Overview

This is a backend-heavy AI engineering role focused on building production-grade Agentic AI and Computer Vision systems.

The engineer will work across LLM orchestration, CV model workflows, third-party integrations, stateful AI pipelines, and production infrastructure.

This role requires someone who can move beyond prototypes and help build reliable AI systems that can be deployed, monitored, evaluated, and improved over time.

Key Responsibilities
Computer Vision Systems

• Work on CV model selection, dataset creation, training support, evaluation, accuracy gap analysis, and backend integration of CV models into production workflows.

Agentic Pipeline Development

• Build AI pipelines involving multiple agents, app-level workers, advanced state management, prompt engineering, HITL (Human-in-the-Loop), evaluation loops, and third-party data/source integrations.

Development & Integration

• Build and maintain backend APIs using Python, FastAPI, and integrate AI models, external APIs, document sources, storage systems, queues, and business workflow tools.

Infrastructure & DevOps

• Deploy and maintain AI systems on cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, security groups, queues, and related compute/storage services.

Production Maturity

• Implement CI/CD, monitoring, logging, load balancing, secure deployment practices, and low-downtime workflows for feature releases and infrastructure changes.

Optimization & Reliability

• Improve latency, cost, throughput, and model performance through practical inference optimization, caching, queue-based processing, and system-level debugging.

Operational Excellence

• Debug production issues across AI logic, backend services, infrastructure, model accuracy, latency regressions, and failed workflows with a strong ownership mindset.

Technical Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional AI/ML engineering experience, preferably with production AI systems.
• Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience building Agentic AI workflows using tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, tool-calling, and structured outputs.
• Practical experience with Computer Vision workflows, including model selection, dataset preparation, training/evaluation support, accuracy analysis, and deployment into backend systems.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, agent evaluation, workflow testing, and AI pipeline reliability.
• Experience with advanced state management for multi-step workflows, background workers, queues, and multi-agent/task orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with third-party API integrations, document processing, storage systems, and external data sources.
• Strong Linux, Docker, and deployment experience.
• Practical AWS experience, especially EC2, EBS, S3, queues, networking, security groups, and infrastructure configuration.
• Understanding of CI/CD, load balancing, monitoring, logging, rollback strategies, and low-downtime deployment practices.
• Basic knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including secure environment management, IAM/security controls, and infrastructure hardening.
• Ability to identify model performance gaps, suggest dataset improvements, and work toward measurable accuracy improvements.
• Ownership mindset: takes responsibility end-to-end, communicates blockers clearly, and drives tasks to completion.
